OUR PROCESS
How Palmade turns agricultural waste from UAE date palms into certified-compostable cutlery, from collection across the Emirates to production at our facility in Dubai.

01
Collection
UAE date palms shed their lower fronds as they grow, a natural process supported by the seasonal trimming that keeps the tree healthy. This agricultural waste has traditionally been burned in the open or sent to landfill.
We collect these fronds directly from farms, landscaping companies and municipalities across the Emirates, at no cost to them.

02
Production
At our production facility in Dubai, the fronds are processed into a certified-compostable material and formed into cutlery.
No trees are cut down to produce Palmade cutlery.
03
The products
Fork, knife, spoon, straw and stirrer, available loose, individually wrapped, or packed for retail and foodservice.
